‘The world’s greatest dancers’ according to the Washington Post, the Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet is one of the most famous dance ensembles in the world, enjoying international acclaim for its uniquely dynamic style since its foundation in 1944 by dance legends Iliko Sukhishvili and Nino Ramishvili. Sukhishvili embodies the spirit of Georgia: the small but proud nation in the wild Caucasus mountains, locked between Turkey and Russia. A land both fierce and beautiful, with majestic mountains and vine-clad valleys, endowed with natural wonder and rich cultural heritage. Over the course of the last 75 years the Company has performed in the world’s most famed concert halls and venues – Madison Square Gardens and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, The Royal Albert Hall in London and La Scala in Milan among many others.
Now, for the very first time in the Company’s history, Sukhishvili will come to the Emirates in January 2020 for three historic performances at Dubai Opera.
