Almost exactly a year after its launch – and three months after winning the Best Ladies’ Complication prize at the GPHG – the Legacy Machine FlyingT sheds its diamonds and embraces its natural self: announcing the LM FlyingT Red Gold and Platinum editions, limited to just 18 pieces each.
The LM FlyingT debuted in three diamond-set editions in white gold: one with a simple halo of brilliant-cut gems on the bezel and lugs, one fully paved with brilliants and one fully paved with baguette-cut stones. To our surprise and delight, the FlyingT was an instant success and went on to become our best-selling Machine of 2019. The two new variations feature a guilloché dial plate, crafted by hand in Kari Voutilainen’s workshops: the 18K red gold case houses a dial plate as dark as a moonless night, while the other is midsummer sky-blue, in a platinum case.
The inclined dial located at 7 o’clock remains, so that the time can be read only by the wearer; an intimate communication that highlights the personal nature of this creation. On the reverse, the automatic sun-shaped winding rotor provides the LM FlyingT with four days (100 hours) of power reserve – feeding the central column of the flying 60-second tourbillon, crowned by a diamond at the very top of the revolving cage.
